Les Misérables (Signet Classics)
Very intimidating to begin with because it is so long, but definitely worth sticking with it. I had seen the play several times so I knew a lot (but not all) of what was going to happen but it was still very good. Of course, there was a lot in the book that didn't make it into the musical and parts of the novel were a bit wordy and dense, but I really loved it!
