I enjoyed this but I didn't love it. As some other reviews noted, the action was completely over the top, the protagonist Maggie gave tiresome speeches on feminism, the war, patriotism, etc at literally EVERY opportunity, & historical references were crammed in which did not make for seamless reading. I will probably get the next in the series from the library.
Also these are minor issues, but WHY would Claire's family spend summers in Belfast if it was so violent? And seriously -- the head of MI-5 had to introduce himself to the prime minister? There is a war going on!! Even under the best of circumstances, it was implausible to me that they wouldn't know each other.
