the reader of books

I really liked this, but I think my reading experience suffered from the hype around this book. That being said, the characterization was amazing and there were so many small moments that were really lovely and well-drawn. Eleanor was a really great heroine – her life is awful until she meets Park, but even after, she’s such a strong character that her entire being doesn’t revolve around Park and their relationship. In fact, the love story fell flat for me. I really can’t articulate why except that I found it to be the most unrealistic aspect of the entire novel.
